Massage Envy. These guys know how to do at least two things really well - give massages and use the Bluecube. They had their company Christmas party at the 1149 Restaurant in East Greenwich and decided to invite the Bluecube along.
There are two Massage Envy branches in Rhode Island - one in Chapel Hill in Cranston, and the other near the Showcase Cinema in East Greenwich/Warwick. They are both owned by the same super nice guy Mike.
The East Greenwich branch is managed by Kayla, a girl I went to middle school with a hundred years ago, and the Cranston location is managed by Chip. You can tell they're good managers by the way all of their employees treat them and interact with them. The company culture was great.
The Christmas party was a combination of the two locations. I brought the Bluecube to the restaurant, set it up, and hung around while people discovered what this thing was in the corner with a bright light shooting out of it. It took about 45 minutes or so, but once everyone started to realize there was a photobooth in their midst, things started getting a little crazier.
This might've been the most energetic and creative crowd yet. I never saw so much pink boa wearing. As is usually typical, I couldn't resist jumping in the photos at the end of the night. Second from the last shot is me, Chip, and Kayla. The last one at the bottom is me with the last photo session of the night. I was ready to pack up and the girls came over, made a puppy face, and asked if they could do one more round. I said yes with the stipulation that I would be in the photos. They agreed, and that's how I ended up with a pink boa on.
It was a great party with a lot of great people. Thanks so much for having the Bluecube come along. The full album can be seen here. Stay tuned, the next blog post will be the Massage Envy VIP party. They had the Bluecube and Blueflash there shooting candids throughout the night.
