Trunk or Treat [Rhode Island Photobooth Event]

This past Halloween our church hosted a "Trunk or Treat" event for the community in Smithfield. We had about forty cars that came decorated with loads of candy in their trunk. Every car came up with a theme and decorated accordingly. There were all sorts of themes like Transformers, Star Wars, Narnia, Legos, Twinkies, pirates, and tons of other stuff.

This was the first time we had hosted an event like this and the turnout was awesome. The estimate was close to a thousand people came through within the two hour span.

The Bluecube was on hand and it pumped out over 350 photos of costumed hooligans. The whole album can be seen on the Blueflash Facebook page (tag'em if you know'em please!) right here. Normally the Bluecube gets a white backdrop, but this event was outdoors and we made a last minute decision to just use the exterior brick wall on the church building as the backdrop for something a little different.

I'd say the event was a success based on overhearing people's comments while walking around. Huge thanks to one of our teenagers in the youth group Tanya for standing by the Bluecube all night helping to herd everyone through in a timely fashion.

The pedal got soaked in apple cider, but it's recovering. Please keep it in your thoughts. I also want to make it known that the costume I had on was Tara's. From 7th grade.

Thanks to all who decorated cars and all the people in the surrounding area who came and brought your kids. We hope to see you around soon.
